About Redbank Renaissance, Inc.
Pennsylvania has changed
the Main Street Program’s matching requirements, but in
some ways improved opportunities. The matching
requirements have gone up from $90,000 to a minimum of
$115,000 to a maximum of $200,000 over 5 years for the
full Main Street program. However, some programs have
been opened to groups not in the formal program with a
percentage or dollar-for-dollar match. We remain on the
edge of the minimum 65 business requirement and have to
use the school district’s population to reach the
minimum 3000 in population. We hope to take advantage of
some of these alternative funding programs if we can
raise more in matching funds, even though we may not be
able to hire a full time manager for the full Main
Street Program. We continue to strive for regional
cooperation to benefit the entire Redbank Valley Area
and to improve our chances of obtaining state funding.
Some projects that may be available include planning
grants for streetscape improvements, façade
improvements, anchor building and downtown reinvestment
grants among others to help local businesses and the
community. We are already seeing progress and have
raised $54,788.03 in pledges and donations. Your support
will be appreciated!

Our
Mission Statement
The
mission of Redbank Renaissance is to direct a
revitalization program, using our assets - Redbank
Creek, picturesque landscape, Route 28/66 corridor and
central tri-county location – to energize new and
existing businesses and restaurants, add retail,
improve infrastructure, create jobs and reinstate New
Bethlehem and the Redbank Valley as an economic,
cultural and recreational center that will create an
even more attractive and wholesome place to raise a
family, work and retire.
Our Vision Statement
New
Bethlehem and the Redbank Valley area have a history and
spirit of survival. This spirit runs deep in every
individual, family, business and municipality. Redbank
Renaissance has a vision that will capitalize on that
spirit and history. We will form partnerships and
collaboratives with area universities, businesses and
community groups to promote the revitalization, growth
and future of the area. This process will require
improvement of infrastructure, continued improvement of
buildings and streetscape, strengthening of
existing businesses while encouraging the creation of
new businesses, jobs and retail shops to sustain a
strong economic climate. Redbank Renaissance will
capitalize on the assets of the region, its
wholesome environment, nature’s beauty, and transit on
the Route 28/66 corridor, by utilizing recreational
interests, commerce and tourism to maintain and energize
the revitalization of the Redbank Valley area.
